There are so many new 3D printer manufacturers popping up each day, that it’s difficult to remember the companies who started it all. We all know that Makerbot was probably the most influential company within the consumer 3D printer market to start with, however, Sam Cervantes, and his Brooklyn-based company Solidoodle has been around producing high quality machines for quite a while. Starting in 2011 they were one of the first to offer a sub-$500 3D printer to consumers.
