A few weeks ago we saw how you can build a DIY Gamegirl using a Raspberry Pi, a SNES Controller and 3D printed house. Popular Electronics shop Adafruit loves to create innovative projects using 3D printing. This week Adafruit shows NeoPixel LEDs that lets you upgrade your long board for a very bright and safe summer night ride.

Trinket NeoPixel LED Longboard – 3D Thursday
Upgrade your ride with NeoPixel LEDs.
In this project we’re upgrading our long board with more neopixels, making a very bright and safe summer night ride!
The 3d printed parts are designed to house the electronics and can be customized to fit your project. You can get the parts for this build on adafruit.com.
NeoPixel LEDs strips are mounted to the bottom of the board with 3d printed clips and can secured with adhesives or screws.
The components are secured to the enclosure and mounted to the board with a 3d printed sliding lock adapter.
NeoPixel rings make a great set of headlights that can be mounted to the trucks with a 3d printed adapter.
Find out how to assemble and build this project by checking out the guide on The Adafruit Learning System.
Upgrading your ride with LEDs makes an awesome summer project that’ll keep you lit while you cruse in style.
