3D Hubs, 3D Printing on a Windmill

Together with the 3D Hubs Mayor of Copenhagen and the local 3D Print community we carried an Ultimaker 2 all the way to the top of a 3MW windmill situated on the west coast of Copenhagen. The whole endeavour was filmed by drones flying around the mill, creating some awesome footage.

On top of the windmill, we directly used the power of the wind to put a product into existence using 3D printers. It is the first 100% clean energy 3D printed product ever, showing two core benefits of 3D printing, that it can produce local and potentially fully sustainable.

Through these kind of events we hope to inspire others and convince them that is is possible to Make anything, anywhere, with 3D printing.
