Introducing the LulzBot TAZ 4 3D Printer

Hi, my name is Harris Kenny, and I’m with Aleph Objects. We’re the makers of the Lulzbot 3D printers, and we’re here at our headquarters in Loveland, Colorado to show you our newest printer, the TAZ 4.

The TAZ 4 features a re-engineered drive rod system. This means that you’ll have improved print quality, you’re going to have a better first few layers of your prints than ever before, and the latest version of the TAZ includes improved Y-axis mounts. This means setting up your printer is going to take less time than ever before. We’re expecting you’ll be printing in a half-an-hour with your printer.

We upgraded to a new 400 watt power supply. This means your 3D printer has a lot of power, and you’ll be able to upgrade with all of the latest accessories and add-ons that our team comes up with.

This machine comes with a full assembled electronics case. That means you’ll be able to upgrade to a dual extruder and print with two different materials or two different colors at the same time.

The extruder fan comes standard with every TAZ 4 3D printer. This allows for crisper corners and finer definition on your prints.

We’re really proud of this machine, and we hope you enjoy printing with it as much as we enjoyed making it for you. Like all Lulzbot products, it’s totally Libre and Open Source Hardware. That means you can view the source files, copy and modify it however much you want.

From the team here at Aleph Objects, happy printing and thanks for watching!

Review of the Flashforge Creator X 3D Printer

I recently received the new Flashforge Creator X and figured I’d provide a side-by-side comparison with the original Flashforge Creator. This video doesn’t focus so much on technical specifications, as those are readily available on the Internet. Instead, the focus here is on the differences between the Creator and the Creator X.

Ultimaker 2 – Unboxing, Review and a lot of Drooling! Excellent 3D Printer

NOTES:
The bad print quality on the test print was due to the broken cooling fan from shipping/customs. The print quality will be perfect once I replace the fan arrives which Ultimaker has already shipped to me! They have fantastic support.

I finally received my Ultimaker v2 thanks to my buddy Sander who has been a huge support to my 3D printing adventures. I have had the Ultimaker 1 for a while and have done tons of prints and the thing is an absolute dream but it lacks a heated bed and looks like it was built in wood shop. So I was super excited to see the Ultimaker v2 looking like a Ferrari with it’s frosted translucent sides and very tidy wiring and not to mention the bed and most beautiful build platform I’ve ever seen. The printer also had some features that I wasn’t expecting like an LED illuminated build platform that will make all my future 3D printing videos on this unit look AMAZING!

The Ultimaker 2
To operate the Ultimaker 2 you don’t need any specific technical knowledge. Every part has been redesigned to create one of the highest performing 3D printer available on the market, but also a very reliable one.

Ultimaker 2 specifications
Easy to use and reliable
Designed for non-expert and expert
Larger build envelope
Heated bed
Low cost material

Open source
Just like the Original the Ultimaker 2 will remain open source. We dare to share our knowledge because we believe we can achieve even more when working together.

Easy to use and reliable
To operate the Ultimaker 2 you don’t need any specific technological knowledge. With its 49 decibel it’s a quiet machine. Because the electronics are bundled the Ultimaker 2 is stable and reliable. With its nice design the Ultimaker 2 is suitable in any working or living interior.

Designed for non-expert and expert
We’ve made the Ultimaker 2 to be as easy as possible. You don’t need to have a huge technological background to understand our printer. At the same time we’ve developed the printer in a way that it’s still interesting for experts to work and create with.

Larger build ratio
We’ve managed to get an even better print-to-size ratio. This means the printer size has remained the same, and the print envelope became bigger.

Low cost material
Beside the fact that the Ultimaker doesn’t use a lot of power, the material you use to print is also low cost. This makes the use of an Ultimaker very affordable.
