Gravity – 3D Sketching

Gravity – 3D Sketching from GravitySketch on Vimeo.

More info on gravitysketch.com and info@gravitysketch.com
Gravity is a tool for creatives to quickly sketch their ideas in 3D space using immersive augmented reality.
A pen and a pad specifically designed for sketching in the augmented environment. Free from any screen or computer, Gravity allows you to focus on what really matters, developing your ideas in an intuitive way.
As you start to draw, objects will take shape in front of you. Through the landing pad controls, you can adjust the plane in which you sketch, giving volume to your creation. With augmented reality glasses, Gravity reinvents how you and your collaborators visualize and contribute to each other’s ideas.
The project started with a strong belief: the tools that are commonly used for drawing, designing and making things in 3D limit people’s ability to bring their ideas to reality. Through numerous prototypes, tests and iterations, we created Gravity as a simple and engaging tool that will shape a new wave of 3D creation.

From 3D Scanner to 3D Printer on Windows 8.1

Ever since I saw the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner at MakerBot world headquarters, I’ve been dying to give it a try! I’ve been having a lot of fun with tools like SolidWorks 2014 for design projects, but sometimes there’s no substitute for a 3D scanner. The recently released MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner (henceforth referred to as “the Digitizer”) brings affordable 3D scanning to your desktop. This new 3D scanner also makes it easy to upload scanned 3D models to Thingiverse and to print them with your 3D printer.
