3D Printing Teaches Korean Educators at the KoreaEdu Expo

Being a densely populated small country, lacking natural resources, Korean parents have always believed that education is the key to a better future. Such an obsession for education has created an “education fever” that has become a double-edged sword. Hakwons (tough private cram schools) have popped up everywhere and students, under intense pressure from peer competition, study almost all day in school, first at their public schools and then later at the hakwon(s). Though things change when they enter university, students have very little free time up through the end of high school.

South Korea’s 3D Printing Rokit Gets a Government Boost

We learned just the other day that Rokit, South Korea’s leading 3D printer manufacturing company, was visited by members of the Korean Government’s Ministry of Strategy & Finance. Mr. Choi Kyung-Hwan, representing the Korean government, offered words of encouragement to the Rokit staff, including CEO Mr. You Seok-Hwan, and his young researchers and employees.

Where 3D Printing Meets Reality – Reality Computing and REAL 2015

Inside 3D Printing Aims Big with Upcoming 3D Printing Conference in New York City

Last April, 3DPrint.com was invited to attend the Inside 3D Printing Conference and Expo at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. We had heard about the show, the speakers, and the exhibitors but we had not previously attended one of these MecklerMedia run events. We were very surprised by the large amount of attendees on hand, as well as the media coverage that the event received. Most interesting though, were the speakers who were on hand to discuss various topics surrounding the 3D printing industry.

CES 2015 Recap!

We are back! If January was an indication of what 2015 is going to be, we are in for a wild ride!

It was the first year Ultimaker was an exhibitor at CES in Las Vegas and we brought some scoops with us to share with the press, audience and rest of the world. During the first day of CES we launched a new website which is more in sync with Ultimaker’s identity, where its main focus is to be a source of inspiration and enable our community members to tell their stories in both words and images.
