MecklerMedia Releases Agenda for Inside 3D Printing Melbourne

In addition to the Inside 3D Printing Conference being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 26th through 29th, MecklerMedia also announced a partnership with Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute Limited – AMTIL – to host a dedicated Digital & Additive Pavilion at this year’s Austech. The Pavilion will remain open for the entirety of the Austech Exhibition.

In Melbourne, the first commercial 3D printing factory in Australia has arrived. The new 7 million dollar space is owned and operated by Objective 3D, the largest distributor of Stratasys printers in Australia. The company also sells Artec Scanners and provides a wide range of services including engineering assessment, file interrogation, and fit for purpose analysis from RedEye Australasia, a division of Objective 3D.

Thursday started out rather better for me than Wednesday – more rested (as I wasn’t nervous for my I3DP talk which had already been given on Wednesday), less dreary in Melbourne weather-wise – and another packed day of 3D printing presentations and demonstrations at the second day of the inaugural Inside 3D Printing conference in Australia!

Review: Inside 3D Printing Melbourne Day 1

The much-anticipated first edition of the popular Inside 3D Printing conference series Down Under landed in Melbourne this week. Despite images of Australian cities being full of palm trees, beaches and beautiful bronzed inhabitants, Melbourne’s outdoors today were more reminiscent of a winter’s day in my home town of Glasgow, Scotland, and so heading to a 3D printing conference taking place in the shelter of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre was ever the more appealing!

Inside 3D Printing Conference is Going Down Under – Bringing the 3rd industrial revolution to Melbourne, Australia

There are plenty of 3D printing trade shows beginning to emerge, along with the groundbreaking 3D printing technology. There is, however, only one 3D printing conference that all of the industry insiders, potential investors, 3D printer manufacturers, consumers, and suppliers feel they must attend. This would be the Inside 3D Printing Conference and Expo, which I recently had the opportunity and pleasure to experience.
