For people used to creating 3D models in Photoshop, there’s some good news here. Photoshop Creative Cloud has announced the availability of a new feature that will allow users to directly convert their 3D Photoshop files into a printable object through i.materialise. If you are used to uploading your models through i.materialise’s 3D Print Lab, then the process for printing will feel very familiar.

The exhibit, hosted by Adobe and Shapeways, shows how you can create stunning art with nothing more than Photoshop and a 3D printer. Adobe is adding new functions to Photoshop Creative Cloud software that let users create and edit designs for 3D printing.

Adobe (Nasdaq:ADBE) today unveiled new 3D printing capabilities in Adobe Photoshop CC. As part of a major update to Adobe Creative Cloud, the new 3D printing capabilities integrated in Photoshop CC enable its members to easily build, refine, preview, prepare and print 3D designs. The update will be available for free for all Creative Cloud members today.
